In the first shot  (which is the better of the two) shows that the foreground is in clear focus and the backround is blurred. This image was taken with a hole size of 5.6. Whether as in the second image, the backround and the foreground are in the same focus. The "hole size " for this image was a bit larger - 36. The smaller the hole size , the clearer your focus will become!
